Tunis International Bank was created in June 1982 and was the first commercial bank established in Tunisia as a fully licensed banking corporation dealing essentially with non-residents under the Tunisian Law of July 12th, 1976 replaced on August 12th, 2009. TIB operates under the supervision of the Central Bank of Tunisia (CBT) and is a member of Tunisia‘s Clearing House Association.
TIB is a private commercial bank and its main shareholder is Burgan Bank K.P.S.C - Kuwait, which is a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Projects Company (Holding) ‘‘KIPCO’’.
