Tunis International Bank was created in June 1982 and was the first commercial bank established in Tunisia as a fully licensed banking corporation dealing essentially with non-residents under the Tunisian Law of July 12th, 1976 replaced on August 14th, 2009. TIB operates under the supervision of the Central Bank of Tunisia (CBT) and is a member of Tunisia‘s Clearing House Association.

TIB is a private commercial bank and its main shareholder is Burgan Bank SAK - Kuwait, which is a subsidiary of the Kuwait Investment Projects Company (Holding) ‘‘KIPCO’’.

The Maghreb countries will remain TIB’s primary target market by maximising the opportunities available to us by working with our subsidiary Gulf Bank Algeria in Algiers, Algeria and also with our bank’s representative office in Tripoli, Libya.
